Welcome Everyone
Hey! In case you don't know me already, I'm Jason, a second-year junior psychology major here at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, or Virginia Tech! Most of all my best friends are here with me: Gary, Eric, Melissa, John, Carter, Thomas, and countless others. Also, I've got my brothers in Theta Xi, which by the way is awesome! (I'm vice president this coming semester, ask me about our awesome parties and events!) I'd also like to mention those that aren't here with me: Lauren, Kelly, Kim, Dixie, and a whole bunch of high school and GSGET friends. Miss all of you, and let me know if I left anyone out! |

Things Going On
Not a lot has been going on lately, been pretty much lazy summer out of school days, but here's a list. . .
-Graduated from BCHS and GSGET with honors, so that was pretty cool.
-Came up to Tech and won the Ben Franklin Leadership Scholarship from Theta Xi, which happens to be my new fraternity (see below).
-First semester was cool. Broke my finger and had to have a rod in it for a long time, saw some great football games, drank, met some of the brothers, and faired pretty well with the grades, although I did fail that one pesky Calculus class. Oh well.
-Second semester was even better. Drank more, joined Theta Xi b/c they're just awesome (Beta Omega #400!), did great with the grades, and declared psychology as my major. I'm gonna ride that one out til all of you can call me "Dr. Stout", so I'll be a college kid for some time!
-Worked at Bear Creek Lake State Park for my fourth year, lifeguarding and yelling at kids, and I'm pretty sure next summer I'll be giving up the whistle there for something better in B-burg.
-Theta Xi's 30th anniversary was cool, it was great meeting all the alumni and seeing my actives.
-Last semester was great! I got through yet another 19 credits with a really decent GPA. Got to be a big brother to Kevin, Beta Omega 402, act as sports chair, got to know my brothers a lot better, and had some great times drinking and partying in the meantime!
-This semester was tough, but awesome. Took another 19 credits, 6 of which were undergraduate research (great for graduate school!), and I was on the exec. board as social chair! That meant talking to sororities and planning kick ass parties! Also had a part-time job to keep that cash flow going for beer, other things, and beer. :)
-Beach party and Mardi Gras party were awesome. It's great to see a new croud out at the house
-The spring semester is just about over now (April 20th), and exams are coming up. I think I'll do well. I was just elected tonight for vice president next semester, so I'm looking forward to that and living in the house next year! Also, see previous about not working at the lake again. Seems I am! I'll be head lifeguard at the lake this summer, but hey...a tan and earning money? Sound pretty damned good to me!
-Sorry I haven't worked on this site for a while, I'm thinking about making a new one to be hosted by Tech whenever I get the free time, which will probably be never!
